Supporting the Alcester Community
As a Community Benefit Society, Alcester Food Festival is committed to giving back to the town that makes the Festival such a success. While a proportion of the income generated each year is reinvested into improving and developing the Festival, the majority of our surplus is returned to the Alcester community through grants, donations and funding for local projects.
Since the Festival began, Alcester Food Festival has donated more than £17,000 to local charities, community groups and organisations, helping to support projects that make a lasting difference across Alcester and the surrounding Warwickshire area.
Recipients have included:
-
Alcester in Bloom
-
Alcester Youth Choir
-
Alcester Youth Project
-
Arden Foodbank
-
Crafty Lunch Club
-
Jubilee Court Social Club
-
St Nicholas Night
-
Young Minds Matter
As a volunteer-led Community Benefit Society, our members help shape the future of Alcester Food Festival. Together with the Board of Directors, members review and approve how surplus funds are distributed, ensuring every decision benefits the local community.
Members meet twice a year, usually in June and November, to discuss Festival developments, approve community donations and help guide the future of one of Warwickshire's leading community food festivals.
